The HARVEY TOOL 76493 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining applications. With a 0.0930-inch cutting diameter and a 0.279-inch length of cut, this tool handles slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in tight-tolerance work. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and a smooth cutting action. Extended reach geometry, with a 0.625-inch reach length, allows access to deeper features without requiring a longer overall tool. It is centercutting, enabling plunge entry. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in tool and die, mold making, aerospace, and general precision machining are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for small-feature milling on CNC machining centers and manual mills where a 0.125-inch (1/8-inch) shank diameter is required. The long-length configuration and extended reach make it a practical choice when standard-length tools cannot access recessed pockets, deep slots, or stepped part features. The bright, uncoated finish is appropriate for non-ferrous metals, plastics, composites, and softer steels where coating is not required. It is sold and shipped as a single unit.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 0.125-inch (1/8-inch) round shank. Suitable for applications requiring a long-reach, small-diameter square end mill with a 4-flute solid carbide configuration.
Install in a collet or end mill holder rated for the 0.125-inch shank diameter and verified for concentricity before use. Ensure the holder is fully tightened to the machine spindle per the machine manufacturer torque specifications before starting the spindle. At this diameter, tool deflection and runout are critical concerns — use the shortest practical gage length consistent with the required reach. Always confirm spindle speed and feed rate settings against the material being cut before engaging the workpiece.
