The HARVEY TOOL 74093-C4 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill designed for high-precision milling of non-ferrous metals and similar materials. With a 3/32 inch (0.0930 inch) mill diameter and a 0.2790 inch reach length, this single-end tool delivers accurate ball-nose profiling and contouring in tight spaces. The 2-flute, 30-degree right-hand spiral geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. An amorphous diamond PVD coating extends tool life and reduces friction when cutting aluminum, copper, brass, and other non-ferrous workpieces. Machinists and tooling professionals install this end mill on CNC machining centers and manual mills requiring fine detail work.
This end mill is suited for precision machining operations on non-ferrous metals in both roughing and finishing passes. The stub and standard length classification makes it a practical choice for slotting, profiling, and 3D contouring where tool rigidity matters. Its 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank fits standard ER collets and end mill holders commonly found in CNC mills, engravers, and multi-axis machining centers. The miniature diameter makes it particularly useful in mold and die work, prototype machining, and small-component production where large tools cannot reach.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature ball end mill for use in standard 1/8 inch collet and end mill holder systems on CNC machining centers and manual mills. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal (material code N).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard tooling change procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or in a safe tool-change state before installing or removing the end mill. Seat the 1/8 inch shank fully into the collet and torque the collet nut per the collet manufacturer specifications. Verify tool runout with a dial indicator before beginning a precision cut, as miniature-diameter end mills are sensitive to concentricity errors.
