The HARVEY TOOL 73100-C3 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. With a 0.1-inch cutting diameter and four flutes, this end mill delivers fine detail work in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride) coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life at elevated cutting speeds. A 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The centercutting geometry allows plunge milling in addition to peripheral and slot cuts. Machinists and CNC operators working in tool rooms, job shops, and production environments install this tool in standard collet or end mill holders.
This end mill is suited for precision slot milling, contouring, and profiling operations where a small-diameter tool is required. The 1/8-inch shank diameter fits common ER11, ER16, and ER20 collet systems as well as dedicated end mill holders. The 19/64-inch length of cut accommodates shallow-to-moderate depth passes typical in fine-feature machining. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional CNC milling spindles. Applications include mold and die work, prototype machining, and tight-tolerance part production in steel, aluminum, stainless, and hardened materials where the AlTiN coating provides thermal protection.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with collet systems or end mill holders accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or lockout state before loading or changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended gauge-line depth and torque the retention nut to the holder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating the cut, as excessive runout accelerates wear on small-diameter carbide tools.
