The HARVEY TOOL 73093-C3 is a square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. Built from solid carbide, this single-end tool features a 3/32-inch (0.093-inch) cutting diameter, a 0.279-inch length of cut, and a 1/8-inch shank diameter with a 1-1/2-inch overall length. The 4-flute geometry combined with a 30-degree helix angle promotes chip evacuation and surface finish quality. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life in harder work materials. This cutter is centercutting, allowing it to plunge directly into material. It is installed by machinists and CNC operators in precision production and toolroom environments.
This end mill is suited for high-speed milling of ferrous alloys, hardened steels, stainless steel, and similar difficult-to-machine materials where heat generation is a concern. The AlTiN finish performs well in dry or minimal-lubrication cutting conditions. The 3/32-inch diameter makes it appropriate for fine-feature work, slot milling, and profiling in molds, dies, and precision components. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional CNC machining center setups. The 1/8-inch shank fits standard collet systems commonly found in vertical machining centers and CNC routers.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill suitable for use in standard 1/8-inch collet holders on CNC machining centers, CNC routers, and manual milling machines equipped with appropriate collet systems.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators. Secure the shank fully within the collet to the recommended grip depth before tightening — do not hold by the fluted portion. Verify spindle direction matches the right-hand cut orientation before engaging the workpiece. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use, as solid carbide tools can fracture if run on a damaged edge.
