The HARVEY TOOL 72062 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in tight tolerances and small-feature applications. With a 1/16 inch (0.062 inch) cutting diameter and a 0.186 inch length of cut, this tool is built for detailed slot milling, profiling, and pocket work where a miniature end mill is required. The 30-degree helix angle supports smooth chip evacuation and stable cutting action. Two flutes provide an efficient balance of chip clearance and edge strength at this diameter. The uncoated solid carbide construction delivers hardness and rigidity suitable for demanding machining conditions.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where small-diameter precision cutting is required. Typical applications include micro-slot milling, contour profiling, and detail work in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 1/8 inch shank diameter allows it to fit standard collets and tool holders commonly used in small-diameter end mill work. It is centercutting, enabling plunge entry directly into the workpiece. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is the standard setup for conventional and climb milling operations.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill for use in standard 1/8 inch collets and tool holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines requiring miniature-diameter tooling.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control in a safe state. Use a calibrated torque wrench and the appropriate collet or end mill holder rated for the 1/8 inch shank diameter. Ensure runout is within acceptable limits before beginning a cut, as miniature-diameter carbide tools are sensitive to excessive runout and can fracture under lateral load. Follow your shop's tooling setup procedures and applicable machining safety standards.
