The HARVEY TOOL 68197-C3 is a double-end corner rounding end mill designed for producing consistent radius profiles on workpiece edges in precision machining operations. Built from solid carbide with an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, it offers high hardness and heat resistance suitable for cutting ferrous and hardened materials. The tool carries a 5.00 mm (0.1970 inch) corner radius and a 0.1070-inch tip diameter, with a 5/8-inch (0.6250-inch) mill diameter and matching 5/8-inch shank. Four flutes provide chip clearance and a smooth finish pass. This end mill is installed by machinists and tooling professionals in CNC machining centers and manual milling setups.
This corner rounding end mill belongs to the Flared series of 2- and 4-flute corner rounding end mills from HARVEY TOOL. It is suited for edge-breaking, blending, and radius profiling on molds, dies, aerospace components, medical parts, and general precision workpieces. The double-end configuration allows the tool to be flipped and reused when one end shows wear, extending usable tool life. Applications typically include both roughing blends and finish passes on ferrous alloys, stainless steels, and high-temperature alloys where AlTiN coating performance is advantageous.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct application tool for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 5/8-inch straight shank end mill holder or collet.
This end mill is installed by qualified machinists following standard tooling procedures for CNC or manual milling equipment. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in a clean, matched collet or end mill holder and torque the retention nut per the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges and coating condition before each use; do not run a chipped or damaged tool.
