The HARVEY TOOL 63047-C6 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. Measuring 0.047 inches in diameter with a 0.005-inch corner radius, this single-end tool carries a 3-flute, variable-helix geometry that reduces harmonic chatter and improves chip evacuation. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating delivers elevated heat resistance, making it well suited for prolonged cuts in abrasive, high-temperature workpiece materials. The extended-reach, stub-flute design provides rigidity in tight-clearance operations while maintaining access to deep features. This end mill is designed for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard alloys. The extended-reach configuration targets applications where standard-length tools cannot access recessed pockets, slots, or contoured features without interference. Installation is performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom professional. Secure the 0.125-inch straight cylindrical shank in a high-precision collet or hydraulic toolholder, verifying runout before cutting. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing or inspecting tooling. At this diameter, avoid side-loading the tool beyond programmed parameters, as micro-diameter carbide end mills are susceptible to breakage from unexpected fixture contact or workpiece movement.
