The HARVEY TOOL 56530-C3 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding material applications. With a 0.115-inch mill diameter and a 0.031-inch corner radius, this single-end tool produces smooth, radius-profiled cuts while reducing stress concentrations at corners. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating adds thermal resistance and extends tool life in abrasive and high-heat cutting environments. Three right-hand spiral flutes provide efficient chip evacuation during both roughing and finishing passes. Licensed machinists and CNC operators in job shops, production machining, and tool-and-die environments will find this tool suited for tight-tolerance work on small-diameter features.
This end mill is built for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composites. Its short length type and 1.25-inch length of cut make it well suited for shallow-to-moderate depth passes in confined pockets and slot profiles. The straight cylindrical shank accepts standard toolholders. As part of the Dovetail Cutters and O-Ring Slotting End Mills and Specialty Profiles series, this cutter covers a wide range of precision profile applications where a corner radius is required at the base or along a feature wall.
Designed for use with standard CNC toolholders accepting a 0.125-inch straight cylindrical shank. Suitable for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite workpiece materials.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or manual milling operators. Secure the shank fully into the toolholder collet to the recommended grip depth before tightening. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, particularly for small-diameter tools where runout has a proportionally larger effect on tool life and surface finish. Follow machine manufacturer and shop safety procedures when handling carbide tooling.
