The HARVEY TOOL 54825-C6 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-temperature alloy machining in demanding production environments. It carries a 0.025 inch mill diameter, a 0.038 inch length of cut, and a 2.5 inch overall length with extended reach geometry. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal and oxidation resistance suited to cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard alloys at elevated temperatures. The variable helix design reduces harmonic chatter during both roughing and finishing passes. Three flutes, right-hand cutting and flute direction, and centercutting capability make this tool suitable for plunge entry and full-contour work. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in aerospace, medical, mold, and precision job shop environments are the primary users.
This end mill targets applications where tight corner geometry and extended reach are required in hard and high-temp workpiece materials. The stub flute and long reach configuration allows access into deeper pockets and narrow profiles without sacrificing rigidity at this diameter. Workpiece materials listed by the manufacturer include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard alloy. The 0.004 inch corner radius and 0.125 inch straight-cylindrical shank are dimensioned for use with high-precision toolholders. It is a single-end tool intended for CNC machining centers running right-hand spindle rotation.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders. Manufacturer lists compatible workpiece materials as steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard alloy. Shank diameter is 0.125 inches with an h6 tolerance class.
Installation is performed by CNC machinists using a high-precision toolholder matched to the 0.125 inch h6 shank. Confirm runout at the toolholder before use, as diameter tolerances at this scale are critical. Power down the spindle and release all stored energy before tool changes. Do not exceed manufacturer-recommended speeds and feeds for the specific workpiece material and coating type.
