The HARVEY TOOL 53893-C3 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for roughing and finishing operations on medium alloy steels, stainless steel, and cast iron. It features a 0.093 inch mill diameter, a 0.01 inch corner radius, and three flutes with a variable helix geometry that reduces chatter and improves surface finish at higher feed rates. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in ferrous materials. Single-end construction with a straight cylindrical shank mounts directly into a standard toolholder. This tool is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working in job shop, production, and toolroom environments.
This end mill is suited for milling medium alloy steels, stainless steel, and cast iron in both roughing and finishing passes. The long flute length of 0.5 inches length of cut and 2.5 inches overall length allows reach into deeper pockets and slots. The 0.093 inch diameter and 1/8 inch shank make it appropriate for small-feature work, fine slotting, and detail contouring where a corner radius is required to reduce stress concentrations at part edges. It fits standard toolholders and collet chucks sized for a 1/8 inch shank.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 1/8 inch straight cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. Part of the HARVEY TOOL Variable Helix End Mills for Medium Alloy Steels - Corner Radius series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or toolholder to the recommended grip length before torquing the retention system. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for chips or wear before each use, as small-diameter carbide tools are susceptible to breakage if runout exceeds acceptable limits.
