The HARVEY TOOL 53712-C6 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for demanding material removal in high-temperature alloys, steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials. It measures 3/16 inches in diameter with a 1-inch length of cut and a 3-inch overall length. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration uses a variable helix geometry to reduce chatter and improve surface finish across both roughing and finishing operations. An AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting abrasive or heat-resistant workpiece materials. This tool is centercutting and designed for use with high-precision toolholders.
The 53712-C6 is suited for milling operations in aerospace, die and mold, and general precision machining environments where high-temp alloys and hard materials are common. The long-length configuration supports deeper pocket milling and reaches that standard-length end mills cannot access. The straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance provides consistent gripping in collet chucks and hydraulic toolholders. It is a single-end tool intended for CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers handling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard alloys.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard alloys in CNC milling applications requiring a variable helix corner radius end mill in the 3/16-inch diameter range.
Installation is performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer is disabled before changing tooling. Seat the straight-cylindrical shank fully into a clean, high-precision collet or hydraulic toolholder to maintain runout within tolerance. Verify tool projection and runout with a dial indicator before initiating any cutting cycle.
