The HARVEY TOOL 50312-C4 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. With a 0.1875 inch (3/16 inch) cutting diameter and a 0.312 inch length of cut, this tool handles slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling tasks. The 4-flute configuration and 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. An amorphous diamond coating increases surface hardness and reduces friction at the cutting edge, extending tool life in abrasive materials. This end mill is installed by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, production facilities, and tool rooms.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where a 3/16 inch shank is required. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with conventional spindle rotation on standard milling equipment. With a 2 inch overall length and 0.1875 inch shank diameter matching the cutting diameter, it fits directly into standard ER collets and end mill holders without adapters. The centercutting capability allows plunge entry into the workpiece. Typical applications include finish milling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composite materials where tight tolerances are required.
Designed as a standard single-end square end mill with a 3/16 inch shank diameter, compatible with ER collets, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders sized for 0.1875 inch shanks on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before inserting or removing the end mill from the toolholder. Ensure the collet or holder is clean and free of chips before seating the shank to the recommended insertion depth. Follow the machine and toolholder manufacturer guidelines for tightening torque and runout inspection before beginning a cut.
