The HARVEY TOOL 45315 is a solid carbide corner rounding end mill designed to produce precise radius edges on machined workpieces. With a 1/64-inch radius and a 1/8-inch mill diameter, this tool generates consistent, burr-free corner profiles on a wide range of materials. The double-end configuration extends tool life by providing two usable cutting ends. Two flutes deliver efficient chip evacuation while maintaining a quality surface finish. The bright, uncoated finish makes this mill well-suited for non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composites where coating adhesion is unnecessary. Machinists and CNC programmers select this tool for edge-breaking and radius blending operations requiring tight tolerances.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual milling applications where controlled corner radii are required on small-diameter features. It is appropriate for prototype shops, production machining environments, and tool-and-die work. The 1/8-inch shank diameter fits standard ER collet chucks and small-bore end mill holders commonly found in high-speed machining setups. Typical applications include edge profiling on aluminum components, small plastic housings, and precision-machined steel parts where a uniform radius is required along part edges or pockets.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use corner rounding end mill compatible with standard 1/8-inch collet chucks and end mill holders used in CNC milling and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder to the manufacturer-recommended engagement depth and torque the retention mechanism per the tool holder specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production run, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on small-diameter carbide tools.
