The HARVEY TOOL 45310-C3 is a double-end corner rounding end mill designed for precise edge-breaking and radius profiling on machined components. Built from solid carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), it delivers hardness and heat resistance suited for cutting ferrous and exotic alloys at elevated speeds. The 0.01 mm corner radius produces a very fine, consistent edge break, while the 2-flute geometry balances chip evacuation with surface finish quality. With a 1/8 inch diameter and 1/8 inch shank, this tool is sized for small-feature work on CNC machining centers and manual mills. Machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary users of this type of end mill.
This end mill is used in precision machining environments where controlled corner radii are required on finished parts. Typical applications include deburring sharp edges, producing uniform radius breaks on aerospace or medical components, and improving part aesthetics or fit. The double-end configuration extends tool life by providing two usable cutting ends. Its compact 1/8 inch diameter makes it well suited for small workpieces or tight-clearance features where a larger tool cannot reach. The AlTiN coating extends performance in dry or semi-dry cutting conditions and in harder workpiece materials.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines equipped with standard ER or equivalent collet systems accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter. Part of the Harvey Tool Corner Rounding End Mills - 2 and 4 Flute - Flared series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before inserting or removing the tool from the collet. Seat the shank fully in the collet to the recommended engagement depth and torque the collet nut per the collet manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before use, particularly on the second end after the first has been used.
