The HARVEY TOOL 35693-C3 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill engineered for precision milling in steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. At 0.093 inches in diameter with a 3-flute spiral design and a 30-degree helix angle, this single-end tool delivers both roughing and finishing capability in one pass. The AlTiN PVD coating extends tool life in high-heat ferrous applications. The extended-reach geometry and stub flute configuration make it well suited for deep-cavity work where clearance is limited but precision cannot be compromised.
This end mill is designed for use in CNC machining centers and precision manual mills handling ferrous materials including steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. The long-reach, stub-flute design targets tight-clearance pockets, slots, and contoured surfaces where a standard-length tool would not reach the work surface. Its 0.1390-inch length of cut combined with a 1.125-inch reach length allows access into recessed features. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in production or prototype environments will find this tool effective for fine detail work at miniature scale.
Designed for use with CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with a 0.125-inch straight-cylindrical shank collet. Primary workpiece materials are steel, stainless steel, and cast iron as specified by material codes P, M, and K.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with miniature carbide tooling. Secure the 0.125-inch straight-cylindrical shank in a properly sized collet or tool holder, ensuring adequate gripping length to prevent runout at depth. At this diameter, even minor runout will reduce tool life and surface quality. Verify spindle and holder cleanliness before seating the tool, and follow the machine manufacturer's guidelines for speeds and feeds appropriate to the coated carbide grade and workpiece material.
