The HARVEY TOOL 34860-C3 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-precision milling in demanding materials. Built to the Miniature End Mills - Corner Radius - Stub and Standard series, this single-end tool features a 3/16 inch diameter, a 0.06 inch corner radius, and four flutes with a 30-degree helix angle. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when machining ferrous and abrasive workpieces. With centercutting geometry and right-hand flute direction, it handles both roughing and finishing passes. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with close-tolerance features rely on this geometry for blending, profiling, and slot milling operations.
This end mill is suited for use on CNC machining centers and milling machines targeting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite materials. The stub and standard length configuration keeps overhang minimal, improving rigidity and reducing deflection in tight pockets or detailed contouring work. The straight-cylindrical shank is compatible with standard toolholders and collet chucks used in production and prototype machining environments.
Designed for use with standard toolholders and collet-style holders accepting a 3/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite materials per ISO material codes P, M, K, N, and O.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Always de-energize and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the collet or toolholder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as corner radius geometry is sensitive to concentricity errors.
