The HARVEY TOOL 34840-C3 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. It features a 3/16-inch diameter with a 0.04-inch corner radius and a 5/8-inch length of cut. Built with 4 helical flutes and an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating, this tool delivers extended wear resistance and thermal protection at elevated cutting speeds. It is a single-end, center-cutting design with a right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction. This end mill is part of the Miniature End Mills Corner Radius Stub Standard series, suited for close-tolerance finish and roughing passes where small-diameter tooling is required.
This end mill is used in both roughing and finishing operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite materials. Its stub-standard geometry is well suited to tight-clearance setups where overhang must be minimized. The 3/16-inch straight-cylindrical shank fits standard toolholders, making it compatible with common CNC machining center setups used in job shops, tool-and-die operations, and precision component manufacturing. The 2-inch overall length and compact cutting geometry make it a practical choice for small-part contouring and slotting work.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 3/16-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite workpiece materials as part of the HARVEY TOOL Miniature End Mills Corner Radius Stub Standard series.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the toolholder collet or chuck is clean and free of debris before seating the shank to achieve proper runout tolerance. Verify spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before engaging the cut. Follow your machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when setting tool offsets and confirming depth of cut.
