The HARVEY TOOL 34830-C3 is a miniature corner radius end mill ground from solid carbide and coated with AlTiN for extended tool life in demanding materials. It measures 3/16 inch in diameter with a 0.03 inch corner radius, a 5/8 inch length of cut, and a 2 inch overall length. The 4-flute, single-end design with a 30-degree helix supports both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute spiral geometry make it compatible with standard vertical machining center setups. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals select this end mill for precision work in tight-tolerance applications where corner geometry consistency is critical.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite materials. Its stub and standard series designation makes it well-suited for short-reach applications where rigidity is a priority. The straight cylindrical shank with a 3/16 inch diameter fits standard collet toolholders used on CNC machining centers and manual mills. The normal pitch and non-variable helix geometry simplify programming and provide predictable chip evacuation across material types.
Designed for use with standard collet-style toolholders accepting a 3/16 inch straight cylindrical shank. Suitable for use on CNC vertical machining centers and manual mills equipped for small-diameter end mills. Compatible with steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite workpiece materials as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control in an e-stop or lockout state per facility LOTO procedures. Seat the shank fully into the collet or toolholder and torque the retention nut to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before production cuts, as excessive runout at this diameter will accelerate tool wear and affect corner radius tolerance. Handle solid carbide tooling carefully to avoid edge chipping during setup.
