The HARVEY TOOL 34825-C3 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding material applications. Built to 3/16 inch diameter with a 0.025 inch corner radius, it delivers controlled edge geometry that reduces stress concentration and extends tool life versus sharp-corner tooling. The 5/8 inch length of cut and 2 inch overall length suit it to stub and standard reach applications in tight-tolerance work. The AlTiN PVD coating improves heat resistance and wear performance when cutting ferrous and stainless materials. Four right-hand spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix handle both roughing and finishing passes. Center-cutting geometry allows plunge entry where needed.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite materials in toolroom, production, and prototype environments. The miniature diameter makes it appropriate for detailed pocket work, contour milling, and small-feature profiling. It accepts straight cylindrical toolholders with a 3/16 inch shank bore. Single-end configuration means the tool is replaced rather than flipped at end of life. Machinists and CNC programmers working in aerospace, medical, mold and die, and precision job-shop settings are the primary users.
Designed for use with straight cylindrical toolholders accepting a 3/16 inch shank. Part of the Harvey Tool Miniature End Mills - Corner Radius - Stub and Standard series.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Torque the set screw or collet nut to the toolholder manufacturer's specification — do not over-clamp on miniature-diameter carbide shanks, as cracking can result. Confirm runout with a dial indicator after mounting; at this diameter, runout has a proportionally large effect on tool life and surface finish. This tool does not support coolant-through delivery.
