The HARVEY TOOL 34815-C4 is a miniature solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. With a 3/16 inch mill diameter, a 5/8 inch length of cut, and a 1/64 inch corner radius (0.0150 inch decimal), this single-end tool delivers clean, controlled material removal on tight-tolerance features. The amorphous diamond coating applied via PVD process extends tool life and reduces friction across a broad range of workpiece materials. Four right-hand spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix provide efficient chip evacuation and a smooth surface finish in both roughing and finishing operations.
This end mill is suited for light-to-medium milling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, aluminum, wood, and composite materials. The stub and standard miniature series geometry makes it a practical choice for precision slot milling, profile contouring, and corner-radius blending in small-scale features common in tool-and-die, mold, aerospace, and general machining environments. Its straight-cylindrical shank mounts directly into standard toolholders without adapters. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry where required.
Designed for use with standard CNC milling toolholders accepting a 3/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, aluminum, wood, and composite workpieces per the HARVEY TOOL miniature end mill series designations P, M, K, N, and O material application codes.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the toolholder. Verify runout and holder cleanliness before tightening to avoid deflection on this small-diameter tool. Follow the machine manufacturer and toolholder manufacturer guidelines for clamping torque and projection length.
