The HARVEY TOOL 34670-C3 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in tight-tolerance applications. With a 0.0700-inch cutting diameter and a 0.105-inch length of cut, this tool is built for small-feature work where rigidity and dimensional accuracy are critical. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. A 30-degree helix angle and three-flute geometry balance chip evacuation with surface finish quality. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC milling setups. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers working in aerospace, medical device, and mold-and-die applications will find this tool well-suited to their requirements.
This end mill is intended for use on CNC machining centers and high-speed milling machines where small-diameter tooling is required. The extended-reach design, with a 0.57-inch reach length and a 0.125-inch shank diameter, allows access to recessed features and deep pockets without sacrificing concentricity. It is centercutting, which means it can be used for plunge operations in addition to standard peripheral milling. Typical applications include profiling, slotting, and contouring in aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and hardened alloys.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and milling machines accepting a 0.125-inch (1/8-inch) round shank. Compatible with standard ER collets, precision toolholders, and shrink-fit chucks sized for 0.125-inch shank diameters.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Use a calibrated collet or toolholder torqued to the toolholder manufacturer specifications to avoid runout. Verify tool projection and reach clearance in the CAM program before running the first pass, especially in deep-pocket or extended-reach operations.
