The HARVEY TOOL 34650 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in a wide range of materials. With a 0.05-inch cutting diameter and three flutes, it delivers clean, accurate cuts in applications where tight tolerances are required. The 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The bright, uncoated finish makes it well suited for non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composites. This end mill is a single-end tool with right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction, and it is centercutting, allowing plunge entry into the workpiece. Machinists and toolmakers install this type of cutter in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
This end mill is sized for fine-detail and micro-milling work. The 0.05-inch diameter and 1.9 mm (0.075-inch) length of cut make it appropriate for slotting, profiling, and contouring in small-feature applications such as mold cavities, medical components, and intricate aerospace parts. The 1/8-inch shank diameter is compatible with standard collet systems and end mill holders commonly found in light-duty CNC setups. The 0.40-inch reach length accommodates moderate-depth features without excessive tool deflection at this small diameter.
Designed for use with standard 1/8-inch collets and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual mills capable of the spindle speeds required for small-diameter solid carbide tooling.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. The tool shank should be seated to the recommended engagement depth in the collet or holder and tightened per the toolholder manufacturer specifications before spindle start. Inspect the cutting edges under magnification prior to use, as carbide tools at this diameter are brittle and susceptible to chipping if mishandled. Never exceed the tool manufacturer recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material, and ensure the spindle is fully stopped before tool changes.
