The HARVEY TOOL 33705-C3 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining applications. With a 3 mm (0.1180 inch) cutting diameter and three flutes, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and a clean finish on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating increases surface hardness and heat resistance, extending tool life in high-speed and dry cutting conditions. The 30-degree helix angle balances cutting force with chip flow, making this end mill well suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations. It is a single-end, center-cutting design with right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and precision manual mills where tight tolerances are required. The 61/64 inch (0.95 inch) length of cut accommodates moderate-depth passes without sacrificing rigidity. The 1/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collets and toolholders commonly found in small-part machining setups. It is appropriate for job shops, tool rooms, aerospace component work, and medical device manufacturing where small-diameter carbide tooling is the standard. Machinists and CNC operators working with hardened steels, stainless, titanium, and cast iron will find the AlTiN coating particularly relevant.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill compatible with standard 1/8 inch collets and toolholders used in CNC machining centers and precision milling machines.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Ensure the collet and toolholder are clean and free of debris before seating the 1/8 inch shank. Confirm runout with a dial indicator after clamping, as excessive runout accelerates wear on small-diameter end mills. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling supplier recommendations for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut appropriate to the workpiece material and machine rigidity.
