The HARVEY TOOL 33213 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in tight tolerances and small-feature work. With a 0.013-inch cutting diameter and a 0.019-inch length of cut, this tool is purpose-built for micro-machining applications where accuracy and rigidity are critical. Three flutes provide a balance of chip evacuation and cutting stability at small diameters. The 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth cutting action and reduces deflection. The bright/uncoated finish keeps the tool diameter true to spec without added coating thickness, which matters at this scale. Machinists and toolroom professionals install this end mill in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles for detailed contouring, slotting, and profiling work.
This end mill is suited for micro-milling applications in mold and die work, medical device components, electronics housings, and other precision part production where small feature sizes demand sub-0.020-inch tooling. The 1/8-inch shank diameter fits standard collets and tool holders commonly found in CNC mills and engraving spindles. The extended reach design, with a 2.5-inch overall length and 0.065-inch reach length, allows access to recessed features without requiring a separate reach tool. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional and climb milling on most CNC platforms.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter via ER or similar collet-style tool holders. Suitable for right-hand cutting applications with standard CNC mill programming.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine in a safe state per shop lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the 1/8-inch shank fully and evenly in the collet to minimize runout, which is especially critical at 0.013-inch diameter where even small amounts of runout will affect tool life and cut quality. Do not exceed the recommended length of cut for this tool; use only the 0.019-inch LOC zone for cutting engagement. Handle micro-diameter carbide end mills carefully, as the cutting end is brittle and susceptible to chipping if dropped or impacted.
