The HARVEY TOOL 32420-C4 is a miniature corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in tight-tolerance machining applications. Built from solid carbide with a diamond PVD coating, it delivers the hardness and wear resistance needed when cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, aluminum, wood, and composites. The tool measures 1/8 inch (0.1250 inches) in diameter with a 0.50 mm (0.0200 inch) corner radius and a 4-flute, right-hand spiral geometry. The 30-degree helix promotes efficient chip evacuation across both roughing and finishing operations. Centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling specialists are the primary installers of this tool class.
This end mill fits typical miniature and micro-machining setups where small-diameter tooling is required for detail work, slot milling, profiling, and contouring on precision components. The stub and standard series designation makes it well suited for applications where a shorter reach reduces deflection. It is used in toolholders compatible with 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shanks. Material applications include aluminum, cast iron, steel, stainless steel, wood, and composite workpieces, making it a versatile option across general machining, mold and die work, and prototype fabrication.
Designed for use with toolholders accepting a 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, wood, and composite workpieces as indicated by the manufacturer material application data.
Installation is performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the toolholder collet to the specified minimum engagement depth before torquing the retention nut. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, as miniature-diameter carbide tools are sensitive to even small amounts of deflection or misalignment.
