The HARVEY TOOL 32405-C3 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding materials. It features a 1/8 inch diameter with a 0.005 inch corner radius and a 4-flute, right-hand spiral geometry that supports both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool. The AlTiN physical vapor deposition coating improves heat resistance and tool life when cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. With a 1/2 inch length of cut and a 1-1/2 inch overall length, this is a miniature stub-standard end mill suited for tight-tolerance applications in CNC machining centers.
This end mill is sized for miniature and detail milling work where a full-size tool cannot reach or where part geometry demands a small-diameter cutter. It fits standard straight-cylindrical toolholders with a 1/8 inch shank. The center-cutting geometry allows plunge entry. Applications include mold and die work, aerospace components, medical parts, and precision mechanical assemblies machined from steel, stainless steel, cast iron, composites, and non-ferrous alloys. A 30-degree helix angle promotes chip evacuation and smooth cutting action across this range of workpiece materials.
Designed for use with standard straight-cylindrical toolholders accepting a 1/8 inch shank. Suitable for CNC milling applications in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite materials.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. The tool must be seated to the correct gauge length in a clean, undamaged collet or end mill holder before tightening to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the shank and collet bore for chips or runout before each use. Do not exceed the tool's rated depth of cut or feed parameters for the workpiece material, as solid carbide is rigid but brittle under side-loading beyond design limits.
