The HARVEY TOOL 32108-C6 is a solid carbide ball end mill engineered for finishing operations in hardened steels and other hard materials. Built to the End Mills for Hardened Steels - Finishers series, this single-end mill features a 0.125-inch cutting diameter, a 2-flute helical configuration, and an AlTiN Nano PVD coating that extends tool life in high-heat, abrasive cutting environments. The 20-degree helix angle and right-hand cutting and flute direction make it well suited for fine finishing passes where surface quality and dimensional accuracy are critical. Machinists and toolroom professionals working with CNC machining centers will recognize this geometry as purpose-built for hardened material finishing at small diameters.
This end mill is designed for use in hard materials including hardened steels, stainless steel, and cast iron, covering workpiece material codes H, P, M, and K. The stub-length classification keeps the tool body rigid, minimizing deflection during finishing passes. With a 1.0-inch reach length and a 0.9-inch neck length, it provides extended reach capability in confined pockets or stepped features without sacrificing rigidity. The straight cylindrical shank measures 0.25 inches in diameter, fitting standard collet and end mill holders. It is intended for single-end use and does not include a coolant-through passage.
Designed for finishing operations in hard materials including hardened steels, stainless steel, and cast iron. Belongs to the HARVEY TOOL End Mills for Hardened Steels - Finishers - Ball series. Fits standard 0.25-inch collets and end mill holders.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolroom technicians on CNC milling equipment. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is properly secured before inserting or removing the end mill. Confirm collet and holder runout is within acceptable tolerances before use, as small-diameter end mills are sensitive to runout-induced tool breakage. This tool does not support coolant-through delivery, so direct external coolant or air blast at the cutting zone as required by the workpiece material.
