The HARVEY TOOL 26508-C3 is a solid carbide drill mill designed for combined drilling and milling operations in a single tool. With a 1/8 inch cutting diameter, 4 flutes, and an 82-degree point angle, this tool handles center drilling, spot drilling, and end milling without a tool change. The AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. Overall length is 1-1/2 inches with a 1/8 inch shank diameter. Machinists and CNC operators use this type of tool to reduce setup time in tight-tolerance work on mills and machining centers.
This drill mill is suited for precision machining applications in job shops, production environments, and tool rooms. The 82-degree point angle is a standard chamfer geometry, making it effective for countersinking, chamfering, and spot drilling in addition to peripheral milling. The 1/2 inch length of cut provides adequate flute engagement for shallow-to-medium depth operations in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar materials where AlTiN coating performance is maximized.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard drill mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting 1/8 inch straight shank tooling.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup personnel. Secure the 1/8 inch shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder, ensuring adequate clamping depth and runout within machine specifications. Confirm spindle speed and feed rate are set per the material being cut before engaging the workpiece. Solid carbide tooling is brittle and should not be subjected to side loads or interrupted cuts beyond designed parameters without verifying suitability first.
