The HARVEY TOOL 24699-C3 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous materials. With a 0.1 inch cutting diameter and a 0.05 inch nose radius, this single-end tool produces accurate contoured and profiled surfaces in stub-length configurations. The 4-flute, 30-degree right-hand helical geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation while maintaining rigidity at small diameters. An AlTiN (PVD) coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. Installed by machinists and toolroom professionals, this end mill is suited for both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup.
This tool is built for miniature and close-tolerance milling applications where rigidity and accuracy are critical. The 0.125 inch straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders commonly used on CNC machining centers, manual mills, and high-speed spindles. The stub length overall configuration reduces deflection, making it well suited for shallow-cavity work, mold detail, and fine-feature profiling in ferrous workpiece materials. Primary workpiece material codes P, M, and K confirm suitability for steel, stainless steel, and cast iron respectively.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines equipped with standard 0.125 inch collet chucks or end mill holders. Rated for primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, and cast iron per material codes P, M, and K.
Installation and operation of this tool should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with CNC or manual milling equipment. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Verify collet and holder runout before use, as excessive runout at small diameters accelerates wear and increases the risk of tool breakage. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling manufacturer guidelines for speed, feed, and depth of cut when working with miniature end mills.
