The HARVEY TOOL 23206 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling of contoured surfaces, slots, and complex 3D profiles. With a 0.0938-inch mill diameter and a 0.079-inch length of cut, this tool is built for tight-tolerance finishing and semi-finishing operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 2-flute geometry and right-hand cutting direction support efficient chip evacuation in applications where cutter access is limited. Solid carbide construction delivers rigidity and wear resistance well beyond what HSS tooling provides at this diameter range. It is a single-end tool with an uncoated finish, making it well suited to applications where coatings are unnecessary or where re-sharpening is anticipated.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers, CNC routers, and manual mills with appropriate high-speed spindles. Its 0.0938-inch diameter and 0.0540-inch neck diameter make it appropriate for fine detail work, mold and die finishing, and micro-feature machining in prototype and production environments. The 1/8-inch shank diameter accommodates standard collet sizes common in small-diameter toolholding systems. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC operators working in job shop and production settings are the typical end users.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide ball end mill for use in standard 1/8-inch collet toolholding systems on CNC machining centers and compatible milling equipment.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the 1/8-inch shank fully and evenly in the collet to the recommended engagement depth before tightening. At this diameter, runout control is critical — inspect the toolholder and collet for wear before use, and verify runout with a dial indicator when tolerances are tight.
