The HARVEY TOOL 20091-C3 is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for precision drilling in tight-tolerance applications. Ground to a wire gauge size of 89, this bit cuts a hole diameter of 0.0091 inches with a 130-degree drill point angle suited for harder workpiece materials. The AlTiN coating improves surface hardness and heat resistance, extending tool life in demanding cuts. With a 1.5000-inch overall length and a 1/8-inch shank diameter, it fits standard miniature drill chucks and collet systems. Spiral flutes clear chips efficiently at these small diameters. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional drilling setups.
This micro drill bit is used in precision machining environments where very small hole diameters are required — printed circuit board drilling, watchmaking fixtures, medical device components, mold and die work, and other applications where a standard jobber drill cannot reach the required size. It belongs to the Harvey Tool Miniature Drills series, which targets machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC mills, drill presses, and high-speed spindles. The 0.0160-inch flute length keeps deflection low at this diameter.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, manual drill presses, and high-speed spindles accepting a 1/8-inch shank. Fits standard ER collet systems and miniature drill chucks compatible with that shank size.
Installation and use of micro drill bits at this diameter should be performed by experienced machinists familiar with miniature tooling practices. Ensure the spindle and workpiece holding system are properly trammed and free of runout before drilling, as even minor misalignment will break a bit of this diameter. Power down and lock out the machine before changing or inspecting tooling. Do not exceed manufacturer-recommended spindle speeds and feed rates for the workpiece material and coating type.
