The HARVEY TOOL 1913M-C3 is a solid carbide double angle milling cutter designed for precision groove milling, dovetail preparation, and angular slot cutting on CNC machining centers and manual mills. The cutter features a 90-degree included angle with a 0.059-inch cutting width and a 1/8-inch shank diameter, making it well-suited for small-scale, tight-tolerance work. An AlTiN coating extends tool life in dry and semi-dry cutting conditions by resisting heat and oxidation at elevated surface speeds. With 2 cutting teeth and a 1.5-inch overall length, this cutter is sized for precise, controlled passes in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary installers and operators of this tool.
This double angle cutter is intended for use in precision machining applications where a symmetrical angular profile must be cut in a single pass. Typical uses include chamfering grooves, milling V-slots, and preparing mating surfaces for dovetail joints in dies, molds, and fixture components. The 0.059-inch neck diameter and 3/16-inch neck length allow access into shallow recessed features. It is suited for both job shop and production environments where consistent angular geometry is required on small workpieces.
Designed for use with standard 1/8-inch collets and tool holders on CNC machining centers, manual knee mills, and high-speed spindles configured for small-diameter end mill tooling.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with CNC or manual milling equipment. Secure the 1/8-inch shank fully into a collet or tool holder to the recommended engagement depth before tightening. Verify spindle runout is within acceptable tolerance before cutting, as excessive runout will accelerate wear on a 2-flute cutter of this diameter. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety protocols when setting speeds and feeds for carbide tooling.
