The HARVEY TOOL 18750 is a solid carbide chamfer mill designed for chamfering, deburring, and edge-breaking operations on a wide range of workpiece materials. Built with a 1/8 inch cutter head diameter and a single-end configuration, this tool delivers precise angular cuts with right-hand cutting direction. The 80/100 degree included angle provides versatility across common chamfer requirements. Two flutes provide a balance of chip clearance and edge strength for small-diameter work. At 0.01 pounds, the tool is lightweight and suited for high-speed spindle applications where minimal runout is critical. It ships bright and uncoated, which makes it suitable for non-ferrous and general-purpose machining where a coating would add unnecessary heat retention.
The 18750 fits standard CNC machining centers, VMCs, and manual mills equipped with 1/8 inch collet systems. It is commonly used in precision machining environments for part finishing, edge prep before anodizing or plating, and countersink-style chamfering on tight-tolerance components. The short length of cut at 0.048 inches keeps the effective cutting zone compact, making it well suited for work in confined features or on small parts where reach is not required but accuracy is.
Designed as an OEM-style single-end chamfer mill compatible with 1/8 inch collet toolholders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC programmer. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an E-stop or powered-down state before inserting or removing the tool from the collet. Confirm collet size matches the 1/8 inch shank diameter before tightening. Inspect the cutting edges under magnification before first use, as solid carbide tools at this diameter are brittle and sensitive to improper seating or side-loading during runout.
