The HARVEY TOOL 18745-C8 is a solid carbide chamfer mill designed for single-end chamfering operations in metal cutting and machining applications. This 2-flute tool features a 90-degree included angle and a 1/8-inch cutter head diameter, making it well suited for deburring, edge breaking, and chamfer creation on tight or small-feature workpieces. The titanium diboride (TiB2) coating reduces friction and extends tool life in abrasive cutting conditions. With an overall length of 1.5 inches and a right-hand cutting direction, it is built for precision work in CNC mills and manual machining centers.
This chamfer mill is intended for use in machine shops, tool rooms, and production environments where small-diameter chamfering is required. Its compact 1/8-inch shank fits standard collet systems used in CNC machining centers and vertical mills. The 90-degree angle is a common specification for standard chamfers and countersinking prep work on aluminum, steel, and similar machinable materials. It is typically installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working with precision part finishing.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit chamfer mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/8-inch shank collet.
This tool is installed by machinists into a compatible 1/8-inch collet or tool holder on a CNC or manual milling machine. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and at rest before changing tooling. Verify collet runout and proper seating torque per the machine tool manufacturer specifications before engaging the cut. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer recommended speeds and feeds for the specific workpiece material.
