The HARVEY TOOL 18445 is a solid carbide chamfer mill designed for producing precise 90-degree chamfers on machined parts. The single-end cutter features a 3/8-inch cutter head diameter with three right-hand flutes for efficient chip evacuation and clean edge geometry. The bright/uncoated finish suits a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials without the added cost of a coating. Machinists and CNC operators rely on this tool for deburring, edge-breaking, and chamfering operations where dimensional accuracy and surface finish matter.
This chamfer mill is well-suited for production and job-shop environments running CNC machining centers or manual mills. The 3/8-inch shank diameter fits standard ER collets and end mill holders common across most machining setups. With a 2.5-inch overall length, it provides adequate reach for typical chamfering applications without sacrificing rigidity. Ideal for use on aluminum, steel, stainless, and other common engineering materials where a clean 90-degree chamfer is required.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for 3/8-inch shank chamfer mill applications in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines using standard ER collets or end mill holders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard tooling safety procedures. Power down and lock out the spindle before installing or removing the tool. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the holder is torqued to the tool holder manufacturer's specification before operation. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use.
