The HARVEY TOOL 18350-C3 is a solid carbide chamfer mill designed for precision chamfering, deburring, and edge-breaking operations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It features a 1/2 inch cutter head diameter, 4 flutes, and an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating that improves wear resistance and allows for higher cutting speeds in hard and abrasive materials. The overall length is 3 inches with a 1/2 inch shank diameter, making it compatible with standard end mill toolholders. The tool cuts in a right-hand direction and features a single-end design. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals rely on this cutter for consistent chamfer geometry and repeatable edge prep on precision components.
This chamfer mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills across job shop, aerospace, automotive, and general manufacturing environments. The 80-degree and 100-degree included angle options support a range of chamfer and countersink profiles. The AlTiN coating makes it particularly effective when running dry or at elevated speeds in hardened steels, stainless steels, and cast iron. The 1/2 inch shank fits standard collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders commonly found in production machining setups.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide chamfer mill for use in standard 1/2 inch end mill toolholding systems on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power locked out per shop safety procedures. Ensure the shank is fully seated in the toolholder and that the holder is torqued to the machine manufacturer's specification for the holder type in use. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts. Do not exceed the cutter's rated speed and feed parameters for the material being machined.
