The HARVEY TOOL 18320 is a solid carbide chamfer mill designed for precision chamfering, deburring, and edge-breaking operations on metal workpieces. With a 1/2 inch cutter head diameter, 4-flute geometry, and a right-hand cutting direction, this tool delivers clean, consistent chamfered edges in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The bright/uncoated finish makes it well-suited for aluminum and other non-ferrous applications where coating adhesion is not a factor. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals rely on this type of end mill for high-accuracy work where edge quality directly affects part function and fit.
This chamfer mill is appropriate for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling setups requiring controlled chamfer angles. With a 3 inch overall length and 1/2 inch shank diameter, it fits standard ER and side-lock toolholders common in job shop and production environments. The 0.5770 inch length of cut provides adequate engagement for typical chamfering depths on medium-thickness stock. It is sold as a single unit and is a non-catalog stocking item.
Designed as an OEM-style chamfer mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/2 inch shank diameter toolholder.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or toolholder and torque the retention hardware according to the toolholder manufacturer's guidelines. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts.
