The HARVEY TOOL 16020 is a solid carbide back corner rounding end mill designed for machining internal corner radii on the back side of a workpiece. It features a 0.5mm (0.0200 inch) radius and a 3-flute geometry that supports chip evacuation and surface finish quality in a range of materials. The 3/16-inch mill diameter and matching 3/16-inch shank diameter make it a compact tool suited for precision milling operations. The bright uncoated finish keeps the tool running without added coating thickness, maintaining dimensional accuracy in tight tolerance applications. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops and production environments are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is used in CNC milling applications where a back corner radius is required without repositioning the workpiece. It is well suited for finishing internal pockets, slots, and stepped features where a standard end mill cannot reach the back edge. The single-end configuration and right-hand cutting and flute direction make it compatible with conventional CNC machining centers running standard spindle rotation. Overall length of 2 inches provides adequate reach for most back-corner rounding setups in metalworking and precision machining operations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use back corner rounding end mill for CNC machining centers accepting a 3/16-inch shank diameter.
Installation and use of this end mill should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before inserting or removing tooling from the holder. Confirm collet or chuck runout is within acceptable limits before engaging the workpiece, as excessive runout will accelerate wear on a tool of this diameter. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for feed rate and spindle speed when using solid carbide tooling at this diameter.
