The HART COOLEY 11000610 is a flexible duct sleeve designed for use in HVAC air distribution systems. It features a metalized polyester jacket over R-6.0 formaldehyde-free insulation, providing thermal performance suited to residential and light commercial ductwork applications. The sleeve measures 10 inches in diameter and comes in a 5-foot length. With no internal core, it is intended to slip over existing round duct or flexible duct sections, functioning as an insulating jacket rather than a standalone duct liner. HVAC installers and sheet metal contractors use this sleeve to bring uninsulated or under-insulated duct runs up to thermal code requirements.
This sleeve is well suited to attic, crawlspace, and unconditioned space applications where exposed duct runs require insulation upgrades or where replacement insulation jacketing is needed. The 10-inch diameter accommodates standard trunk and branch duct sizes common in residential forced-air systems. The 5-foot section length allows for manageable installation in tight spaces and can be cut to length as needed on the job.
Designed as an OEM-style insulating sleeve for 10-inch round flexible or rigid duct sections in residential and light commercial HVAC air distribution systems.
Installation is typically performed by licensed HVAC technicians or sheet metal contractors. Power down the air handling unit and confirm the duct system is depressurized before working on connected ductwork. Secure the sleeve ends with code-approved metal tape or drawbands per local mechanical code requirements. Do not compress the insulation during installation, as compression reduces the effective R-value.
