The HARCO 75-33266 is a 1.5-inch IPS-OD compression-by-female-NPT (COMP x FNPT) female adapter designed for joining compression-style tubing to female threaded pipe connections. Part of the Philmac IPS-OD product family, this fitting provides a reliable mechanical transition between compression and threaded systems commonly found in water distribution, irrigation, and plumbing supply lines. Licensed plumbers and irrigation contractors install this adapter where a compression-end tube must terminate at a female-threaded fitting, valve, or manifold. The IPS-OD sizing means the compression end is sized to the outside diameter of IPS-dimensioned pipe or tubing.
This adapter is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing and irrigation applications. It is used at points where poly pipe or other IPS-OD-compatible tubing connects to threaded components such as valves, meters, pumps, or manifold assemblies. The COMP x FNPT configuration allows the compression side to grip and seal the tubing mechanically without solvent or solder, making it practical for field installations where heat or flame is not appropriate. It is sold in carton quantities of 35 units, making it well suited for supply houses and contractors managing larger installations.
Designed as an OEM-style compression-to-FNPT adapter for 1.5-inch IPS-OD tubing and standard female NPT threaded connections in plumbing and irrigation systems.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified irrigation technicians. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before disassembly or fitting installation. Ensure the tubing end is cut square and deburred before seating it into the compression fitting to achieve a proper seal. Follow applicable local plumbing codes and manufacturer torque guidelines when tightening the compression nut to avoid over-compression or fitting damage.
