The HAM-LET 3600065 is a brass front ferrule designed for compression tube fittings. Front ferrules are the primary sealing component in a two-ferrule compression fitting assembly, biting into the outer wall of the tube to create a leak-tight mechanical seal when the fitting nut is torqued. This part is manufactured to ASTM B68 and ASTM B75 standards, confirming the brass tubing stock meets established dimensional and material requirements. It is sized to match the tube outside diameter and is installed by plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians in fluid and gas handling systems.
This front ferrule is suited for compression fitting assemblies in residential and commercial plumbing, instrumentation tubing runs, and industrial fluid distribution systems. It is compatible with tube OD compression fitting bodies and is rated for a temperature range of -4 degrees F to 98.6 degrees F (-20 degrees C to 37 degrees C). Technicians working with brass compression fittings in low-pressure process lines, HVAC instrumentation, or general utility piping will recognize this as a standard two-ferrule system component.
Designed for use in two-ferrule compression tube fitting assemblies using tube OD connections. Cross-references to Swagelok part number B-403-1. Verify tube outside diameter and fitting body specifications before installation.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, or instrumentation technicians. Depressurize and drain the line completely before disassembling any compression fitting. Front ferrules are single-use components in most compression fitting systems and should not be re-swaged onto a new tube after initial installation. Follow the fitting manufacturer's assembly procedure for nut turn count from finger-tight to avoid over-compression or tube damage.
