The HAM-LET 3600011 is a brass compression tube back ferrule designed for use in compression-style tube fittings. The back ferrule seats behind the front ferrule in a two-ferrule compression assembly, creating a secondary grip and seal on the tube as the fitting nut is tightened. Machined from brass, this ferrule is suited for instrumentation, fluid handling, and process piping applications where a reliable, leak-tight compression connection is required. It fits tubing with a 16mm outside diameter and is sold individually. Instrumentation technicians and pipefitters are the primary installers.
This back ferrule is used in compression tube fitting assemblies found in industrial instrumentation lines, hydraulic sampling systems, and fluid transfer piping. It is appropriate for both new assembly work and replacement of worn or damaged ferrules during system maintenance. The 16mm tube OD sizing targets metric tubing common in process and instrumentation installations. The cross-reference Swagelok part number B-16M4-1 indicates dimensional compatibility with that fitting standard.
Designed for use with two-ferrule compression tube fittings accepting 16mm OD metric tubing. Cross-references to Swagelok part number B-16M4-1. Verify fitting body thread and front ferrule dimensions before installation to confirm full assembly compatibility.
Installation is performed by qualified instrumentation technicians or pipefitters following applicable system procedures. Depressurize and isolate the line before disassembly of any compression fitting. Back ferrules must be installed in the correct orientation and sequence behind the front ferrule; reversing ferrule order will prevent a proper seal. Do not reuse ferrules that have already been fully swaged onto tubing, as a new ferrule is required for a leak-tight connection on a re-made joint.
