The HAM-LET 3500042 is a compression tube front ferrule designed for use in high-integrity tube fitting assemblies. The front ferrule is the primary sealing component in a two-ferrule compression fitting system, biting into the tube outer diameter to create a leak-tight mechanical connection. This ferrule is machined from 316 stainless steel and meets a broad set of material standards, making it suitable for instrumentation, process, and industrial fluid systems where corrosion resistance and dimensional consistency are required. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians install this component as part of routine fitting assembly or replacement work.
This ferrule is intended for use with 12mm outside diameter tubing in compression-style tube fitting systems. It is suited for both residential and commercial instrumentation lines as well as industrial process piping where stainless steel tube fittings are specified. The rated minimum service temperature is -20 degrees F, and the maximum service temperature is 37 degrees C, making it appropriate for ambient and moderate-temperature fluid and gas service. It is sold individually and is compatible with compression fitting bodies and back ferrules of the same tube OD size and fitting series.
Designed for use with 12mm OD tube compression fitting systems. Cross-references to Swagelok part number SS-12M3-1. Intended for use with matching compression fitting bodies and back ferrules of the same tube OD and fitting series.
Installation is performed by licensed pipefitters or instrumentation technicians following applicable codes such as ASME B31.3 for process piping. Depressurize and isolate the line fully before disassembling any fitting. The front ferrule is not reusable once fully swaged onto tubing and should be replaced any time a fitting is remade. Do not mix ferrules from different manufacturers or fitting series within the same fitting assembly.
