The HAM-LET 3500019 is a compression tube back ferrule designed for use in high-integrity tube fitting assemblies. The back ferrule is the outer of the two ferrules in a standard two-ferrule compression fitting. When the fitting nut is tightened, the back ferrule drives the front ferrule forward and creates a leak-tight seal against the tube OD. Constructed from 316 stainless steel to ASTM A182, ASTM A213, ASTM A269, ASTM A276, and ASTM A479 standards, this ferrule delivers corrosion resistance suitable for demanding fluid and gas service. It weighs approximately 0.02 pounds and fits a 10mm tube outside diameter.
This back ferrule is used in industrial instrumentation, process control, hydraulic, and pneumatic tubing systems. Typical applications include chemical processing, oil and gas instrumentation lines, and any service requiring a reliable metal-to-tube compression seal. It is installed by instrumentation technicians, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors working with metric OD tubing. The Swagelok equivalent part number listed in the supplier data is SS-10M4-1, which reflects the dimensional and material standard this ferrule is manufactured to.
Designed for use in two-ferrule compression tube fitting assemblies accepting a 10mm OD tube. Cross-references to Swagelok part number SS-10M4-1 based on supplier data. Verify ferrule seat geometry and fitting body manufacturer before substituting in critical service.
Installation is performed by qualified instrumentation technicians or pipefitters. Before disassembling or replacing ferrules, isolate and depressurize the tubing system completely and verify the line is clear of hazardous media. Back ferrules should not be reused once fully swaged onto tubing, as the deformation from the initial make-up is permanent. Follow the fitting manufacturer's make-up procedure for turn count and torque guidance applicable to the specific fitting body being used.
