The HAM-LET 3500017 is a compression tube back ferrule designed for use in two-ferrule compression tube fittings. The back ferrule drives the front ferrule into the tube, creating a leak-tight mechanical seal without the need for solder, flare, or thread sealant. Manufactured from 316 stainless steel per ASTM A182, ASTM A213, ASTM A269, ASTM A276, ASTM A479, DIN EN10122-5, and DIN EN10272, this ferrule suits applications requiring corrosion resistance and dimensional consistency. It fits 6mm outside diameter tubing and is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 5 pieces.
Back ferrules of this type are used in instrumentation, process control, and industrial fluid system applications where reliable tube connections are required. They are commonly installed in gas and liquid service lines found in chemical processing, oil and gas, power generation, and laboratory environments. The 316 stainless steel construction makes this ferrule appropriate for mildly corrosive media and elevated-pressure instrumentation tubing systems. Installation is performed by qualified instrumentation or pipefitting tradespeople.
Designed as a back ferrule for two-ferrule compression tube fittings using 6mm OD tubing. Input data identifies Swagelok part number SS-6M4-1 as an equivalent reference. Verify fitting body and front ferrule compatibility before installation.
Installation is performed by qualified instrumentation technicians or pipefitters working on pressurized fluid or gas systems. Depressurize and isolate the tubing system completely before disassembling any compression fitting. Follow the fitting manufacturer's make-up procedure for ferrule compression - typically a defined number of turns past hand-tight - and do not over-tighten, as ferrules are not reusable once fully compressed. Consult applicable codes including ASME B31.3 for process piping or the relevant instrumentation system standard for your application.
