The HAM-LET 3102389 is a brass compression tube female elbow fitting designed to create a 90-degree directional change in instrument or fluid tubing systems. It connects a compression tube end to a 1/2-inch female NPT (FNPT) threaded port, providing a leak-resistant mechanical seal without soldering or welding. The fitting is rated to 2400 psi maximum working pressure, making it suitable for demanding fluid and gas service applications. Brass construction conforms to ASTM B68 and ASTM B75 standards. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians are the typical installers for this type of fitting.
This fitting is used in residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC, and industrial instrumentation systems where tubing must transition to a female-threaded port at a right angle. It is well suited for compressed air, water, and compatible gas lines operating within the rated temperature and pressure limits. The compression end accepts standard tubing and creates a seal through mechanical compression of a ferrule, while the FNPT end threads onto male NPT fittings or ports. The compact brass body allows installation in tight spaces.
Designed as an OEM-style compression-to-FNPT elbow fitting for use in plumbing, instrumentation, and fluid system assemblies requiring a 1/2-inch female NPT connection with a compression tube inlet. Cross-references to Swagelok part number B-810-8-8.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter in accordance with applicable plumbing codes such as the IPC. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any compression fittings. The compression nut should be tightened with appropriate wrenches - do not over-tighten, as this can damage the ferrule and tubing. Verify tube end is cut cleanly and squarely before insertion to ensure a proper ferrule seal.
