The HAM-LET 3002240 is a compression tube female elbow fitting designed to connect tubing to a female NPT port at a 90-degree angle. Constructed from 316 stainless steel, this fitting provides corrosion resistance in aggressive fluid and gas service environments. It accepts a compression-style tube connection on one end and a 1/8 inch FNPT threaded connection on the other, with a maximum working pressure rating of 6,500 psi. The fitting meets multiple ASTM and DIN material standards, making it suitable for instrumentation, process control, and high-pressure fluid lines. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians are the primary installers.
The 3002240 is used in industrial, commercial, and process environments where a direction change is needed between a compression tube run and a female NPT port. Typical applications include instrument tubing connections, hydraulic and pneumatic control panels, chemical processing lines, and any system requiring a reliable 90-degree turn with stainless steel wetted components. The fitting operates across a temperature range of -20 degrees F to 37 degrees F, making it appropriate for low to moderate temperature service conditions in controlled environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use compression tube female elbow for instrumentation and process tubing systems requiring a 1/8 inch FNPT port connection. Cross-references to Swagelok part number SS-400-8-2.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter or instrumentation technician in accordance with applicable codes such as ASME B31.3 for process piping. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before disassembly or fitting installation. Use appropriate thread sealant rated for the service medium on the FNPT connection, and follow the fitting manufacturer's tube-insertion and nut-torque procedure for the compression end. Do not over-tighten the compression nut, as this can deform the ferrule and compromise the seal.
