The HAM-LET 3001889 is a compression tube reducer fitting manufactured from 316 stainless steel in compliance with ASTM A182, ASTM A213, ASTM A269, ASTM A276, ASTM A479, DIN EN10122-5, and DIN EN10272 material standards. It connects a compression end to a tube stub end and steps down tubing from 3/4 inch outside diameter to 1/2 inch outside diameter. The overall installed length is 2.12 inches. This fitting is designed for use in instrumentation, process, and industrial fluid systems where corrosion resistance and leak-tight performance are required. Licensed plumbers, instrumentation technicians, and industrial pipefitters are the typical installers.
This reducer is suited for residential and commercial instrumentation lines, process piping, and fluid handling systems that require a reliable transition between two different tube sizes. The compression-by-tube-stub end configuration allows direct connection to tubing without welding. It is rated for a temperature range of -20 degrees F to 37 degrees F, making it appropriate for low-temperature process applications. The 316 stainless steel construction resists corrosive media encountered in chemical, petrochemical, and HVAC instrumentation environments.
Cross-references to Swagelok part number SS-810-R-12. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct substitution for 3/4 inch to 1/2 inch compression tube reducer fittings in instrumentation and process fluid systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter, instrumentation technician, or plumber familiar with compression fitting assembly procedures. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any fitting. Follow applicable codes including ASME B31.1 or B31.3 for process piping systems. Do not overtighten compression nuts, as over-compression can deform the ferrule and compromise the seal.
