The HAM-LET 3001866 is a compression tube reducer fitting designed to transition from a compression-style connection to a tube stub end. Machined from 316 stainless steel, this reducer meets ASTM A182, ASTM A213, ASTM A269, ASTM A276, and ASTM A479 standards, as well as DIN EN10122-5 and DIN EN10272. It accepts a 1/4 inch outside diameter tube on the compression end and measures 1.54 inches in overall length. The fitting is suited for instrument tubing, process lines, and fluid handling systems where a reliable, corrosion-resistant compression connection is required. Licensed pipefitters and instrumentation technicians are the typical installers.
This reducer is used in industrial and commercial fluid or gas distribution systems where a compression fitting must connect to a tube stub termination. Typical applications include instrument impulse lines, pneumatic control tubing, and process sampling systems. The 316 stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for corrosive media environments and systems requiring material traceability to ASTM specifications. It is rated for a temperature range of -20 degrees F to 37 degrees F and is sold in single-unit quantities.
The HAM-LET 3001866 is referenced as a compatible replacement for Swagelok part number SS-400-R-4. It is designed for use in compression tubing systems accepting 1/4 inch OD tube with a tube stub mating connection.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter or instrumentation technician familiar with compression fitting assembly procedures. Depressurize and isolate the line fully before removing any existing fitting or making new connections. Follow the fitting manufacturer's assembly instructions for proper ferrule engagement; do not overtighten compression fittings, as this can deform the ferrule and compromise the seal. Consult applicable codes, including ASME B31.3 for process piping, when integrating this fitting into a regulated system.
