The HAM-LET 3001838 is a compression tube reducing port connector designed to join two compression-end tube connections of differing port sizes within instrumentation, process, or fluid-handling systems. Constructed from 316 stainless steel meeting ASTM A182, ASTM A213, ASTM A269, ASTM A276, ASTM A479, DIN EN10122-5, and DIN EN10272 material standards, this fitting delivers the corrosion resistance and material integrity required in demanding service environments. With an overall length of 0.98 inches and a weight of 0.25 pounds, it is a compact inline fitting suited for tight-space installations. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians are the typical installers.
This reducing port connector is suited for use in residential, commercial, and light industrial fluid and gas distribution systems where a reduction in port size is needed between two compression tube connections. It is appropriate for applications requiring stainless steel wetted surfaces, including corrosive media service and high-purity fluid lines. The fitting is rated for a minimum operating temperature of -20 degrees F and a maximum operating temperature of 37 degrees C. It is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of one.
Cross-references to Swagelok part number SS-601-PC-4. Designed as a compression-to-compression reducing port connector for use in instrumentation tubing systems requiring 316 stainless steel fittings.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter, plumber, or qualified instrumentation technician in accordance with applicable codes. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any compression fitting. Use appropriate tube preparation tools to ensure clean, square tube cuts before seating the compression ferrule. Do not overtighten compression nuts, as doing so can deform the ferrule and compromise the seal.
